February 2011

Over 19 years ago we walked into the Homelife just by chance. our good luck was meeting Rebecca McDiarmid she helped us find an acreage that we developed and loved for about 18 years. When we decided it was time to downsize, she understood what it meant to us; selling horses and saying good bye to life on acreage is very traumatic. She was also a great help by telling us the things that should be done and the things that are not important. She was always available and so efficient; this is so important to me. She gave us so much information with which to make decisions regarding the sale of our acreage and then concurrently did the very same helping us find our new house.

Rebecca's professionalism is unparallelled. Often she pointed out negative issues in a house we were viewing that we might not have even noticed. She did not try to push us into a purchase, but worked hard to find what we were looking for. She is the realtor we recommend to our friends and anyone asking for a realtor.

Sincerely,

August 2010

We were from out of town and managing the sale of a property in Cloverdale. We feel so very fortunate to have met and worked with Rebecca McDiarmid.

Rebecca quickly and expertly prepared an outstanding description and photo gallery of the property and she and her team expertly marketed it in all the right places. Our property sold within weeks at very near our asking price in a tough market. She was always well prepared and responsive to our questions and a delight to work with.

Letter of Reference

I'm very pleased to provide my highest personal recommendation for Rebecca McDiarmid.

At a very difficult time in my life (newly separated from my husband and considerably stressed) I had the good fortune of being referred to Rebecca to find me a new home. During our first meeting I burst into tears - more than once. She was so very patient and kind and understanding, and I immediately felt at ease with her.

When Rebecca gets down to business - she gets down to business! In less than 24 hours we were on the road. Tirelessly she drove me from one corner of the Lower Mainland to another, patiently showing me property after property, and, even more patiently, accepting that none felt right for me. (I had spent the last 8 years on Salt Spring Island in a home deep in the forest with an ocean view, and deer looking in my windows, now I was clearly having culture shock.) However, throughout the process she narrowed down my likes and dislikes and quickly determined just what would suit me. It became very evident that her primary goal was to find me a place where I would be happy, long term. At one point (thank God) she actually talked me out of making an offer on one particular place, she knew it wasn't right for me.

Rebecca is a highly experienced negotiator. She is extremely organized, well spoken, sharp as a tack, and could go to the Olympics for multi-tasking. She responded promptly to my emails and phone calls, was well prepared and on time for viewing appointments, and, always went beyond the call of duty.

I now have a beautiful new townhome overlooking a river - and it feels completely right !

Rebecca is perfection.

To Whom It May Concern:

I recently sold my condo and had the good fortune of being referred to Rebecca McDiarmid at Homelife Benchmark Realty. From the moment I met Rebecca I knew she was the realtor for me. Rebecca is extremely professional and dedicated to her clients.

When selling my condo I was pretty firm on my price and Rebecca worked with me to ensure I got the. price I wanted. Rebecca uses many different sources to list her properties which I believe is one of the reasons she is so successful and although not everyone who saw the unit agreed with the price Rebecca stuck with me and we sold the condo in about 7 weeks.

I would not hesitate to use Rebecca in the future or to recommend her to my family and friends.

We first met Rebecca McDiarmid in February this year, while we were vacationing in Vancouver for the 2010 Olympics. We were looking for a realtor to help us find a house just outside of Vancouver, by chance, Rebecca became ours when we happened to call her office.

Within a day, Rebecca was able to compile a list of houses that met our criteria. We only had a few days to look around, but Rebecca worked diligently to find us a variety of houses to look at even with the short notice and limited time span that we gave her.

Rebecca never tried to push a quick sale on us; she never rushed us and always gave us her honest opinion of the houses that we saw. After Rebecca drove us around to look at the houses, we were able to find a home that we liked and made an offer the i same day that we had to return to our home in Edmonton. Our offer was low however, and the house was sold to a higher bidder. It was our own inexperience in the local real estate market that made us believe that our offer was reasonable.

Undeterred, Rebecca went back to work and found more listings to show us the next time we were in Langley. Not too long after, she was able to find a house that was similar to the one we made an offer on. Since we were still in Edmonton, she went out of her way to go to the house and take as many pictures as she could so that she could email them to us. We made an offer, but there were some issues that needed to be resolved with the seller of the house.

Rebecca dealt with the problem and spent countless hours sending us various faxes and calling us long distance to ensure that everything was straightened out.

Our intent was to rent the house out, but there were a few things that needed to be done that Rebecca did that went beyond her duties as a realtor. She went shopping for a gas stove for our kitchen, found the gas otter for it and also arranged for an electrician to fix an electrical panel. She also handled many other issues and problems because she knew that it was difficult for us to do so since we were still in Edmonton.

Without a doubt, we would not have been able to find such a great house on our own.

We were even able to get a good deal on the house since Rebecca worked quickly to find it and get the paperwork done in order for us to finalize everything.

We have purchased many properties for personal, rental, and investment purposes and it is without a doubt, that she is the best realtor that we have ever met. She is hardworking, kind, and never tires of doing anything that will benefit her clients. We cannot express how grateful and appreciative we are for all of her efforts. We would absolutely deal with her again and would recommend her as a realtor to anyone!
